Traction Gas Springs | Highest Quality

Traction gas springs work in the opposite way from the conventional "compression" gas springs. The piston is in an unloaded state inside the cylinder, and when it is loaded and pulled out, the force will attempt to pull it back into the cylinder again.
The tube is painted black and the rod has received an anti-corrosive treatment called Nitrider.
We do not stock this series in stainless steel, but it can be obtained if necessary.

Cylinder and piston rod: The tube is painted semi-matte black, and the piston rod has been given a plasma nitride treatment that makes the surface extremely hardwearing and provides optimal rust protection.
However, the treatment cannot replace a dedicated stainless steel gas spring.
Oil: The oil is a common lubrication oil, but is not approved for food use. We can supply gas springs for use with foodstuffs. Contact us if you require such a solution.
Gas: The gas is nitrogen gas.
We do not stock this series in stainless steel, but it can be obtained if necessary.
The Traction Gas Springs contain a special grease as a lubricant instead of oil. This kind of lubricant ensures that seals etc. stay lubricated during storage and when fitted at any angle.
We recommend fitting the Traction Gas Springs with its piston facing upwards.
